Top 100 Books (41-60)

It’s time to pick back up on my countdown to the top 100 books of all time. I am an American, so most of the book authors I know live in America or wrote a story pertaining to the States. I tried my best to include the best authors and books from all over the world. I did not intentionally discriminate any country, author, or book title in determining the top 100 books.

For Whom the Bell Tolls

Perhaps you have read this book or seen the movie For Whom the Bell Tolls. This story took place in Spain during the early days of World War II. You can see the brave American Gary Cooper trying to help Ingrid Bergman and her group of Spanish fighters in the movie. The movie was done in a way that Ernest Hemingway approved of and he did have a voice in this classic movie. This was due to the fact, Ernest Hemingway is the author of For Whom the Bell Tolls. Most book worms have read this classic story or saw the movie that featured a lot of big time Hollywood actors and actresses, as everyone in Hollywood back then wanted to be a part of this great Hemingway novel. No big surprise to see Cooper get the leading role, as he and Hemingway were big time buddies and even hunted together. This is just one of the classic novels that will appear on the countdown in this list of 20 books from the top 100 books in the world.

Take advantage of all of my hard work, so you can have one easy place to see some of the best books and their authors of all time. I will be coming back soon to list more great books and continue my 100 book journey to the greatest book titles and classics of all time!

Top 100 Books of All Time (91-100)

I have decided to create a book list like none other. After a long and extensive research process, I have assembled the 100 greatest book titles to ever grace a library shelf or a reader’s eyes. Everyone will know a lot of these books, since they’re the 100 most popular books of all time. Keep in mind that I am an American male, so the great authors living in other countries or who may be female, may not do so well on my list of the 100 greatest books ever. I have included everyone and didn’t purposely discriminate against any book authors. I do know who the greatest author in Norway is and I also hear that the story of Peter Rabbit was written by a woman. I just live in a part of the world where the American male literary figures stand out much more than a lot of the other authors who live in different countries or who may be women.

No two people will agree on the top 100 books of all time. So I fully understand if my 100 greatest books of all time, doesn’t match the 100 you would come up with. I think most will agree with my list on the books I do name and I couldn’t imagine anyone leaving off 50 percent or more of the book titles I am getting ready to unleash. I can’t name all 100 in just one blog post, so I will break it up and do 10 great books for each blog post. I will be sure to leave links behind as I go, so everyone can quickly navigate my blog here and find which books are getting named and which number is getting assigned to each one. I think these 100 books will be the greatest collection of books that no other blogger has ever put together before.

Naming the top 10 books of all time is really pretty easy. Deciding which books get listed from 11 to 100 is the tough part. So I will struggle to get these first 90 books named and in their proper order. Feel free at any time to agree or disagree with my rankings. You can even post your favorite books of all time and perhaps your comments will even influence which books I list on my top 100 books of all time. I welcome all comments (good or bad). I know fully well that no one person can speak for everyone and a blog or public forum would be boring if we all agreed on the same things. It’s the differences in opinion that make us unique and it’s also the way we learn. I hope I can offer something you can learn from me and I hope a few of you out there can teach me a thing or two about the greatest books ever written. Now with that said, I think it is time to unveil my greatest books list of all time.

100 – Peter Rabbit

The first 10 books have been named. Still have 90 more great books to mention. How many of these first 10 books on the list do you like or have read before? If you don’t see a book you like yet; then stick around. The best books and their authors have yet to be named. This was just the starting point of the greatest 100 books ever to be assembled on one blog!
